So I made a world and spent months building it,but then I got busy and haven’t play Minecraft for a month.Just opened minecraft and that world is gone.Pretty sure I didn’t delete it,and I actually took some screenshots of the stuff I built and it appears that the last time I played in that world is 30th September. My device is An iPhone 5s and my minecraft version is 1.2.3.
Anyone ever heard about anything like this?cuz I’ve been working very hard building...:(

Sorry to say but I have never stumbled across this glitch. For future safety precautions, back up your save/worlds frequently!!

I never had the problem before my iPad decided "Nope, you can't play this game. I'm gonna make you crash it even tho it is updated and crap."
I guess all you can do to keep your worlds is like what @ragemario said. Try backing up and saving your worlds a lot!

Check Minecrafts Settings, Check the save location setting. If it is set to external, change it to inapp/internal. if not change it to external. If you played the world when the save location was one or the other it might still be there. This option is available in Android I do not know if it is available in IOS but maybe. Otherwise game over, go to the save location and find the world files.
